Is no stranger to big changes. This is the show that took a sweet pastor nicknamed Cricket and broke him down until he turned into a homeless addict selling his body for drugs. But Mac is coming into Always Sunny‘s 13th season armed with two of the biggest changes in the show’s history. Not only will this year mark the first time the character has started a season as openly gay, but he’s also returning to Paddy’s Pub completely, ridiculously swole. At the ‘s 2018 summer tour Decider spoke to, the show’s creator and actor behind Mac, about how these huge changes impact his character this season. The short answer? They don’t change a thing.
Decider spoke to Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, and Rob McElhenney. By Though Mac’s concealed homosexuality has been a recurring Always Sunny joke for years, he finally officially came out of the closet in Season 12’s “Hero or Hate Crime?” It was important to the show’s writers that Mac didn’t become a Pollyanna just because he was now openly gay. “We felt that was the opposite of what we are trying to do, which was trying to normalize the LGBTQ community within the context of Sunny,” McElhenney said. “Saying that ‘Of course Mac as a gay man can still be a piece of shit’ is part and parcel to normalization. So we felt like it would be doing a disservice not only to the show but to the community itself if we were to change his character other than the fact that he is now out of the closet.” McElhenney consulted with people in the LGBT community and drew on his own family experiences to write Mac. “I grew up in the LGBT community. I was raised by two women, and I have two brothers that are out,” he said.
But he doesn’t see his research as a perfect replacement for personal experience. “As much as I feel like I have a pretty good sense of what it’s like to be in the community, I can’t really know for sure and I don’t know exactly what it’s like to grow up like that.” But Mac’s out and proud sexuality is far from the only big change in store for the bodyguard and co-creator of Fight Milk this year. Mac legitimately cultivated mass this season, showing off a body that Fat Mac could only dream of.
But McElhenney didn’t buff up to change Mac or make a statement. He did it for a single joke. “I feel like every time a male actor takes his shirt off in a movie or television show they seem to look like a greek god out of nowhere!” he said. “I thought that is such a funny thing to explore if you have a character who has put in so much effort and energy to get as ripped as possible, and it literally took me months and months and months. And you show it off for essentially 45 seconds in one scene, and the other characters are not impressed.
They tell you to put your shirt on.” “That seemed funny to me. It seems like a tremendous amount of effort for what amounts to 45 seconds of vanity and then it all goes away.”. According to McElhenney, Mac only spends a few seconds in Season 13 shirtless. But there will be a later episode that reveals why he actually cultivated mass.
Much like for Season 7, his epic bulk up is also connected to Mac’s body dysmorphia. “It’s trying to change yourself in a physical way to please other people or at least to satiate some need to be something different than you are,” he said.
“And then watching as the characters and the show itself basically say that you’re fine the way you were. Or actually, you’re a piece of shit the way you were.” “Either way, changing your physical appearance is not gonna make much of a difference,” he added. Season 13 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia premieres on FXX Wednesday, September 5 at 10 p.m.

In order to create this device, Steve said it would need to be “far better at some key things.” What did he say it would have to be better at over a smartphone and laptop? He mentioned browsing the web, email, photos, video, music, games, and eBooks. In 2010, when this device launched, iPhone screens were still tiny, and laptops were still heavy. In 2018, iPhone screens can be gigantic, and laptops are lighter and thinner than ever.
Is the iPad still better at those key things today? What’s the state of the iPad today? These are the questions I want to answer.
Is iPad the best web browser? Back in June, I about how I felt that mobile Safari was holding the iPad back. I am constantly asking myself the question: why are certain tasks tedious to do on an iPad compared to on a Mac? It’s certainly not a hardware limitation.
In 2017, 9to5Mac reported the iPad Pro even outperformed a MacBook Pro in certain situations. IPad doesn’t have a hardware problem, but rather a software one. I would argue that the lack of a full web browser is one of the things holding the iPad back the most. Until it can access all websites natively as you would on a Mac, it’s a crippled device. The Mac has a better web browser than the iPad. The iPhone browser is crippled in some ways, but it’s more portable.
Is iPad the best email tool? The iPad is an excellent tool for powering through email, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best tool. I can work through massive amounts of email on my. But I’d rather process my. In my opinion, for email, the iPad brings the worst parts of iPhone email to a larger form factor. The mail app on the iPad needs to be completely rethought in the future.
Is iPad the best way to enjoy photos? Even if you would rather organize your photos on macOS, the iPad has become a fantastic device for photo editing. In fact, the entire iOS ecosystem has become a first-class citizen when it comes to (taking, organizing, sharing, editing, etc.). It’s hard to discount the iPad as the best way to enjoy your photos. Is iPad the best way to watch a movie?
Due to its incredible screen, the iPad is my preferred way to watch video on the go. It has all of the apps/services you’d want.
You certainly don’t need the iPad Pro to do this, though. The 6th generation iPad will work fine here.
Is iPad the best gaming device? When it comes to gaming, the iPad is undoubtedly better than the iPhone due to the increased screen size. Is it the best portable gaming device?
While the iPad is a fine device for basic gaming, the is drastically better as a pure gaming device. Is iPad the best eBook reader? I would argue that the is probably the best way to read eBooks using iOS, but it’s hard to justify buying it for this feature alone. A is a better device for pure reading. On the flip side, an iPhone XS Max has a plenty big enough screen for reading. What’s the state of the iPad in 2018? The is an incredible value.
If you want to use it for much the same things that Steve mentioned in the original iPad keynote, you are getting an incredible device for even less than what it debuted at in 2010. When it comes to the iPad Pro models, the hardware is writing checks that the software can’t cash. If an iPad is going to be at Mac level prices, it needs to be able to do everything a Mac can do. A lot of companies have shipped upsized versions of the iPhone app for the iPad that can’t do everything their web interfaces can do (Looking at you Google Docs/Spreadsheets/Slides). The web interfaces that appear when you browse them from an iPad offer a mobile-optimized version, or they require mouse precision to work well.
This situation isn’t Apple’s fault, but it is their problem. An iPad that costs as much as a Mac should be able to do all the things a Mac can do, but it just can’t. Often, even if a task can be done, it’s so cumbersome that it takes twice as long on iPad. I shouldn’t have to write a Siri Shortcut to accomplish basic tasks. Even with the outstanding new iPad Pro models that have just been released, the software is essentially the iPhone software blown up for a larger form factor. Yes, there are some multitasking features, but outside of that, how is it that different than iOS on the iPhone? When I see people comparing iPad hardware power to Mac hardware in 2018, it reminds me of when PC users would compare the price to specs ratio with Macs in the early 2000s.
People that want a Mac want it for the software. In my opinion, most people that want an iPad want it for the form factor.
We should be way less concerned with the hardware specs of the iPad, and way more concerned with the software. So what’s the state of the iPad in 2018? The hardware specs of the iPad stopped mattering around the iPad Air 2. IOS can rarely push the iPad hardware in meaningful ways for most people. It’s way past time for the iPad software to grow up and match the hardware.
It’s time for Apple to make a big bet on the next generation of computing devices because right now, they are trying to keep everything at the status quo in terms of iOS and macOS. There are a number of aspects where the iPad that still frustrates me. Why can’t a photo editing app (or the Files app) open items directly from an attached camera? Why doesn’t iOS have the ability to create a.zip file without using a 3rd party app? Why does “Request Desktop version” of a website rarely work?
Can some people use the iPad to do 100% of their work? Absolutely, but I feel like it’s been the same people for the past five years without much of a change. Why is the iPad not getting better at tasks that the Mac excels at? This tweet sums up my feelings on the iPad perfectly. I can do 90% of my work on iPad. The problem is that it’s been at 90% for years now. — Wojtek Pietrusiewicz (@morid1n) Do you disagree?

They say that numbers don’t lie and if that’s true then at 19 years old Mac Miller is already producing veteran numbers. With over 600,000 Twitter followers, almost as many as Donald Trump, and 85 million YouTube views, the truth is that Mac Miller has created more than just a buzz.
The amazing thing about Mac Miller is that he makes it all look so easy just by being himself. What might also be surprising is that although his stats would be music to any major label’s ears, he is signed to Rostrum Records, an independent label in Pittsburg. Some could say that he’s up and coming but with numbers like that, one could argue that Mac Miller has definitely come up. Malcolm McCormick, also known as Mac Miller was born to a Jewish Family in Pittsburg, PA. He attended a Winchester Thurston School and Taylor Allderdice High School. He played Baseball, Soccer, and Basketball when he was younger. Mac Miller taught himself how to play the piano, guitar and drums and has been playing instruments since he was 6 years old.
He started rapping when he was 15 years old and started recording in a friend’s basement. Mac Miller put high school aside to focus on rapping but still went back to school to graduate. Mac Miller’s musical inspirations include Big L, Lauryn Hill, The Beastie Boys, Outkast, and A Tribe Called Quest. He says he doesn’t worry about being the minority in the game. He was part of a rap group called The ILL Spoken with another Pittsburg rapper named Beedie. Mac Miller released his first mixtape when he was 15 called But my Mackin aint easy in 2007 under the name EZ Mac.
In 2008 he released How High: The Mixtape with Ill Spoken. He released his third mixtape in 2009 called The High Life. Mac Miller signed to Rostrum Records at 18. He said that Rostrum Records looked out for him and helped him grow before being signed to the label. He started a YouTube channel called TreeJTV and the videos created a major buzz. After starting the YouTube channel, he gained about 16,000 Twitter followers in 6 weeks. After signing to Rostrum Records in 2010 he released his 5 th Mixtape called K.I.D.S.
(Kickin’ Incredibly Dope Shit). Mac Miller is good friends with Wiz Khalifa who is also from Pittsburg. In March of 2011, he released an EP called On And On And Beyond and his first single ‘Knock Knock’ premiered on YouTube. In 2011 He released his 6 th Mixtape called Best Day Ever. Mac Miller’s first album called Blue Slide Park is set to be released in the fall of 2011. He is scheduling an international tour called the Incredibly Dope Tour and a nine-date tour in Canada this month.
Mac Miller was featured in XXL Magazine’s Show and Prove section and as one of the Freshman Class of 2011. In an interview with Thisis50, Here is what Mac Miller said about whether being a minority in the rap game makes it harder for him: “ I just don’t even really think about it. Cause I feel like the more you build that up the more it’s gonna take over what you think.
If I forget about the whole racial issue with like being one of the few white rappers, if I forget about that, I could just worry about the music and not really about all that. I mean I feel like when I was younger it kind of helped.
Because when I was little, I’m 15 years olda little 15 year old white kid walking up to cyphers and just being like let’s go. I wasn’t scared, I wasn’t nervous, so like that probably helped that I wasn’t scared or I wasn’t nervousbecause everyone would leave and be like who the hell is that little ass but like now at this point in my career I just try and like block all that out and not really worry about the white rapper and what that means. Like if I have to do something because I’m a white rapper or not. I just kinda do me.” Post by: Rosie J – music marketer Tags.
